OVOM One Voice One Message against drugs

A drug free lifestyle

Within St RCHF we lead and believe in a drug free lifestyle and have promoted this over many years in our voluntary work in Romania. In 2012 we were awarded a certificate by the European Commission for work we do in this domain in prevention and education in schools and universities in north east Romania.
When Renee Besseling who is leader over many years in the domain of narcotic prevention started a new movement named OVOM which means One Voice One Message we joined in immediately.

We advise all parents to please read the OVOM website and offer your support at www.ovom.org. Romania like many other countries has become a hot spot where drug barons import and via street sellers peddle these illegal drugs including high risk drugs to anyone who can be tempted to try such products. Now are cases of children and young people both in schools and high schools who have become extremely ill after consuming illegal drugs. Medics fight weekly to save the lives of drug addicts who overdose and in all of this misery many simply prefer to look the other way.

Parents need to become street wise as the saying goes so that they can detect changes in their children and avert a catastrophic situation from becoming reality. Speaking on a regular basis with your child/children is important as you can detect problems, maybe at school or with friends and put a stop to anything untoward before its too late. All parents love and cherish our children, but without knowledge of what their doing and who their with in free time and without attending school parents meetings its easy for a child who is innocent to stray out of control and even be frightened by others around them to take a dose of drugs. There are so many drugs available nowadays and even legal drugs that become illegal when consumed without medical permission.
We within St RCHF believe in the values of life that are clean and free of dangers of any kind and continue in our partnership with OVOM to support a drug free lifestyle.
